| The D&L Pro Model is working great, Dave! I put about 400 rounds through it this weekend, several different types of ammo, and not one malfunction. You've done an absolutely fantastic job with this gun, Dave, I can't tell you how happy I am with it! |

Dave,
We're good to go! The D&L pistol looks absolutely beautiful, Dave. The gunsmith at the shop said that it was one of the nicest pieces of work he'd ever seen in his life. I can't wait to get it out to the range, and I'll be sure to give you a report when I do. |

Dave,
I'm a soldier in the 101st Airborne currently deployed to Iraq. I've had nothing but frustration with the standard peep sights that are mounted on my M4 Carbine. I've always used a notch sight on rifles. If I could get one of your D&L CQB sights I'd be the happiest soldier in Iraq. Because I would have the piece of mind knowing that I'll be able to stay on target and shoot my target without wondering if my sight picture is right. I would express just how much I despise peep sights but I don't think that much info is needed. I received the package today. Thanks for the magazines I will put them to good use ;) The advanced tactical marksman book will also be useful. I'll find out when we are doing our next range, so I can move my optic and set the CQB Iron Sight on it and get it all zeroed. My roommate only has an Aimpoint red dot sight on his M4 so I mounted the CQB on his rifle just to be able to hold and see the sight from my perspective I have to say... this sight is goint to work out GREAT!! I can't wait to get it zeroed. Again MANY MANY thanks Mr. Lauck. I truely appreciate your commitment to the end-user's satisfaction. I can't say it enough... Thank You so VERY much |

After Action Report
I recently had the opportunity to borrow a D&L gas piston CQB carbine from a friend of mine to shoot in a local 3 gun match. I carried an M16 and an M4 as an infantryman in the USMC during two combat tours in Iraq, and I must say that Dave's gun is the most rugged, reliable and combat ready rifle I have ever seen. I trained with the rifle for approximately one week before the match in a dry and dusty environment, and I absolutely abused it, firing about 800 rounds without even cleaning it. During the course of the 2 day match, I ran another 200 (approx) rounds through the gun and constantly just laid it flat on the bare ground with the bolt open. Even though the slight breeze coated the exterior and some of the interior with a fine layer of dust, the rifle did not have a single stoppage or malfunction. A precision weapon with over a thousand rounds through it and it still runs like a Swiss watch. I am amazed by the attention to detail and craftsmanship that has gone into this work of tactical art. If I could carry a rifle through the gates of hell, it would be this one. |

D&L Sports™
At the 1998 Tactical Marksman Match, organized by Dave Lauck of D&L Sports™, I was privileged to closely examine some of the rifles he has built. Dave has one concept in mind when he builds a rifle, and that concept is "function". These rifles are built not only to endure harsh field environments but to deliver precision accuracy. One of the most interesting features of these rifles are the stocks that Dave builds. |

D&L Sports™ 1911
The Professional's "Professional"
Massad Ayoob
From Iraq to Afghanistan, the current conflict has validated the 1911 .45 automatic. Those who have them there cherish them. Those who don't have them, for the most part, want them. Some want them badly enough to pay for the very best. Built for combat, Dave Lauck's latest is smooth, accurate and utterly reliable. Master smith Dave Lauck built the gun we tested for just such an individual. A street cop for decades, holding SWAT responsibilities for much of that time, Dave has ample "been there, done that" creds. An active teacher of the gun and host of high-level competitions, he has ample venues in which to monitor testing of the custom guns that have become his avocation through D&L Sports™. The gun tested here is his Professional Model, which he created based on requests from special forces personnel involved at the sharp end of the current War on Terror. |

| After the press party we cruised up to Gillette, Wyoming, where we were the guests of Dave Lauck, the renowned custom gunsmith. We had deer tags, but we were only moderately successful, since these Gillette mule deer seem to favor a sagebrush environment, and a Wyoming mule deer at this time of year is exactly the color of sage. Nonetheless, I was able to bounce a modest little "double 4" with the new gun. The range seemed very long to me, but the laser logged it at 215, a humbling experience! That was first blood for SS#6, and now we intend to take it to Africa next April and to fill up a fairly elaborate shopping list in the Okavango Delta. |

| Dave Lauck is one of today's foremost authorities on the AR-15 style firearm... If it comes from DLS Inc. you can be sure that it will work, be accurate, and be configured to fit your personal needs... The authors custom D&L AR-15 fills all his needs for a CQB carbine & lots more. Reliability was 100%. The D&L forward mounted lockable rear iron sight will absolutely, positively secure your sight settings once you zero the gun. The sight would probably survive an assault with a ball-peen hammer and it would certainly take a catastrophic event to have any effect on the D&L iron sight system. The D&L monolithic structure Aimpoint optic mount is just as durable as the D&L iron sights. You would obviously destroy the optical sight before you ever hurt the D&L mount, and the mount stores 2 extra batteries... My D&L carbine delivers stellar performance. Reliability is 100 percent, and accuracy incredible. The D&L firearm is a perfect personal carbine. |

Hi Dave,
I had the pleasure of shooting with friends from the New York FBI entry teams on Thursday working a pistol class. Had a great day, and of course, your .45 was the talk of the town. The 45 always works great, shoots true, never jams, great trigger, and looks great. |
