Attention Law Enforcement Personnel
How to Help Pay for Your Tactical Training |
|
The Department of Homeland Security enhances the ability of states, local and tribal jurisdictions, and other regional authorities in the preparation, prevention, and response to terrorist attacks and other disasters, by distributing grant funds. Localities can use grants for planning, equipment, training and exercise needs. These grants include, but are not limited to areas of: |
• Port Security |
• Critical Infrastructure Protection |
• Regional and Local Mass Transit Systems |
• Equipment and Training for First Responders |
|
The Department of Homeland Security is committed to helping first responders nation-wide by ensuring that emergency response professionals are prepared, equipped and trained for any situation, and by bringing together information and resources to prepare for and respond to a terrorist attack, natural disaster or other large-scale emergency. |
|
Precision rifle training satisfies both Critical Infrastructure Protection and First Responder training to terrorist attacks when trained personnel are employed as Designated Defensive Marksmen. Homeland Security grants are available to Law Enforcement Agencies nationwide to train personnel in Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection. Submit a memo to your State Homeland Security Director from your department and state why this training is tied into Critical Infrastructure Protection and First Responder training to terrorist attacks with the total cost of training, equipment, and travel for your grant. |
