Light mounting handguns has been long proven to improve performance during low light shooting. Few light mounting options have been available for revolver shooters. DLS has developed a method of recessing a low profile, dehorned picatinny style rail into the underlug of revolvers. Recessing the mount into the underlug not only keeps the profile low so the revolver will still fit many holsters, it also allows the light mounting rail to have recoil shoulders at both ends. These recoil shoulders provide durability in hard use environments. Duty / defensive shooters, hunters / camp defenders can all benefit from a heavy duty revolver mounted light.

Custom top strap mounted, and recoil shouldered red dot mounts will allow red dot performance shooting, yet still allow shooters to return to iron sights as needed. Iron sights can still be used while the red dot mount is left in place.
